He buscado y no aparece otro Ferrer/Farré en los años 40 a los que hace referencia el artículo. De hecho aunque es más habitual la grafía "Ferrer" también aparece "Farré" en alguna crónica de MD.
La posición sería la misma, normalmente extremo izquierdo.
Las fotos no me acaban de aclarar dudas, tanto por la calidad como por la distancia en el tiempo entre ambas.

Sospecho que https://www.bdfutbol.com/es/j/j1025974.html es realmente https://www.bdfutbol.com/es/j/j108604.html (en el Toledo 77/78, uno juega justo el día que falta el otro, e incluso viendo las fotos hay un cierto parecido).
